Soon we will be into the second week of the 2018 new year. A time of conscious or subconscious reflection on the previous years’ events and the life changes that occurred as a result of them. The way we live our lives prior to these events can directly effect our ability to deal with their onslaught. How do you live your life?
A Simple Quiet Life:
Simple and quiet. It’s the best life there is on this earth but it does not come easy. Whether rich or poor it takes some doing. A life that has minimal stress and drama, is peaceful, calm, serene and relaxed is worth working toward. A goal to reach. The brass ring, if you will. While those sought after nuances truly exist on the inside it is the outside coming inside to that realm of ethereal happiness. How can unwanted intruders be stopped from injecting themselves into a quiet life of bliss?
First, Take Care Of Yourself:
This is super important. First and foremost is self care. Be aware of responsibilities to self and what it takes to live your life. Attending to self, feeling good and refreshed with positive reinforcement throughout the day. Encourage yourself.
Pay Your Bills!
Equally important is keeping a roof over your head. Shelter from the elements provides long hot showers, heat in winter and air conditioning during scorching summers. Pay rent and all utilities (cable, internet, etc) on time. Doing the opposite causes undue stress. Resolve to pay down/off credit cards and spend only what you have while you do. It will feel tremendous living within your means and paying off debt to further reduce stress.
Second: Cut All BS Off At The Knees!
Removing one’s self from those things causing unwanted events begins here. This could be anything from boyfriends to jobs and everything else in between. If whatever it is truly causes angst in the simple quiet life you are working to achieve, cut the BS off at the knees and get it out of your life. Happiness depends on it. Needless BS wreaks havoc in the endeavors of a peaceful life.
Third: Put Good Out To Others. It Will Come Back To You:
Whatever you put out there into the universe comes back. Count on that. Put forth good to others and have the same return to you. Never, ever wish bad on someone. It will come back to you. That is a guarantee. When digging a hole for someone else be sure to dig two. One is for you. Put good out there. It will come back. That is also a guarantee.
Who Or What Is Center In Your Life?
For me, It is God. Striving to be the best I can be for Him is tantamount for living. I am human with human failures like everyone else. I fail daily in my walk with Him either saying, doing or thinking something that is contrary to His Word.
What really keeps me from going off and strangling the life out of someone is my daily reading of the Bible, KJV. I truly delight in it, believe every jot and tittle of it. Keeps me grounded.
Not only do I believe in God, I believe in what He says. I’ll take His Word over any preacher, any day. God has never lied to me. He has always told and taught me truth. He even very gently showed my foibles to me. Made me see things about myself that needed fixing! I am eternally thankful and grateful for His patient and gentle ways with me. I’m a work in progress and always will be.
How Do I Live This Life?
God is the center of how I live my life. I have all that I need and am happy with my lot even with the things of this life that poke at me here and there. He is the way I found how to live this blessed, fruitful, simple and quiet life.
